Hello and welcome to our homepage on the internet. My name is Eric "Von Mikless" Wager PharmD, and I’m a retired Pharmacist who has been home roasting coffee for 17 years. At Von Mikless Coffee Roasters, we believe that every sip of coffee should transport you to a world of exquisite flavors showcasing the location and terroir of single origin specialty coffee. We would like to think our coffee is more than just a drink but an experience. Our coffee beans are carefully sourced from the best producers around the world. We roast every batch with the utmost attention to detail to bring out the unique qualities of each roast. We believe in building meaningful relationships with our customers and creating a warm and welcoming environment where people can come together and share their passion for coffee. Whether you are a coffee connoisseur or a casual drinker, we have something for everyone. Working as microbiologist for one of Oregon’s largest breweries in Portland Oregon, I bought my first coffee roaster, a Fresh Roast SR500 in 2008 and began my journey into single origin specialty coffee and home roasting coffee to be brewed on a French Press. Fast forward to our move to the small community of Mount Angel, Oregon in 2018, I continued to explore specialty coffee at home and during my travels. In 2023, I bought my second coffee roaster, a Behmor 2000AB, and started giving away my home roasted specialty coffee to friends and neighbors. Seeing the smiles that my home roasted specialty coffee brought to my friends and neighbors, I launched Von Mikless Coffee Roasters in January of 2024 to fill the void of fresh specialty coffee roasters in our local area. We now have a 1kilogram Aillio Bullet Roaster which possess the latest in technology (magnetic induction heating, infra-red temperature technology, Roastime proprietary software). Less than 10% of the global coffee supply is grown organically and we are fortunate to carry our flagship coffee, Bali Dark Roast, an organic coffee from Bali Indonesia grown on a farm at 3200 feet. We support organic agriculture and will continue to support a more sustainable model of coffee agriculture worldwide. We hope you join us on our quest to find incredible single origin specialty coffees from around the world, available direct to coffee connoisseurs.
